Ana Aranda da Silva

Ana Aranda da Silva currently serves as Project Manager at the Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) since January 2024. Previously, Ana held various positions at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia from January 2017 to January 2024, including Head of Advanced Training Unit, Education and Training Officer, and PhD Programme Assistant. From November 2006 to July 2014, Ana was a Postdoc Researcher at Universidade de Aveiro, where Ana was the principal investigator for the FCT funded project DeepForams, focusing on foraminifera in Portuguese submarine canyons. Ana's academic background includes a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Southampton, a Postgraduate Degree in Science and Technology Management and Policy from NOVA FCSH, an MSc in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from Bournemouth University, and a BSc in Marine Biology with Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth.
