Christine Clouse, M.Ed., serves as a Transfer Credit Specialist, Records Specialist, and Office Assistant at Penn State World Campus since November 2017. With experience at Centre Safe since July 2003 as a Shelter Counselor/Advocate, Christine supports victims of domestic and sexual violence in achieving safety and empowerment. Christine is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration at Penn State World Campus, expected to complete in August 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Integrative Arts with a Women's Studies minor from Penn State University.

It is the mission of the Centre Safe to empower survivors of sexual or domestic violence, and to work toward the elimination of such violence through: •Crisis Intervention - providing safety and shelter to women who are in crisis because of domestic or sexual violence •Services - including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, transitional housing, and referrals to other appropriate community programs •Education - for survivors, service providers, and the wider community with regard to the individual and societal dynamics of domestic and sexual violence •Advocacy - accompanying and supporting women and their children as they access the resources available to survivors of domestic and sexual violence; working collaboratively to improve community-wide systems and resources for survivors
