Michelle Barrett

Michelle Barrett is an experienced social worker currently serving at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, focusing on youth psychiatry and integrated forensic programs since July 2018. With additional roles at Centretown Community Health Centre and Somerset West Community Health Centre, Michelle provides crisis intervention, individual counseling, and support for mental health and addictions, employing strengths-based, client-centered approaches. A Humane Transport Consultant for Animals' Angels USA since 2008, Michelle also has experience in educational roles and community counseling, supported by a Master of Social Work and a Master of Arts in Political Economy from Carleton University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Human Rights and Art History.
