Sonny Vu

Sonny Vu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sonny began their career as a Process Systems Engineer at M. W. Kellogg Company in 1991 before transitioning to roles as a Financial Analyst at Intel Corporation and Exxon Chemical in the late 1990s. In 1999, they joined NRG Energy, Inc. as a Coal and Emissions Optimization Manager, where they remained until 2013.

From 2013 to 2021, Sonny worked at Recurve Energy Asset Management Inc in various roles, including Director of Treasury and Loan Compliance, Vice President of Finance and Treasury, and Senior Vice President of Accounting and Treasury.

In 2021, they served as the Chief Financial Officer - North America at ContourGlobal PLC for a brief period.

Currently, Sonny holds the position of Director, Corporate Finance at CenTrio, where they started in 2022. Sonny was later promoted to Vice President, Corporate Finance in 2023.

Sonny Vu earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University from 1987 to 1991. Sonny then pursued an MBA in Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business from 1994 to 1996.
