Akhona Ngquba CA(SA) has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They began their career at Liberty Group South Africa as a Learner in Wealth Management. Following this, they worked as a Data Administrator at Redefine Properties. Akhona then joined the University of South Africa as a Tutor for Financial Management. They subsequently joined Absa Group, where they held various roles including Group Financial Accountant, Product Accountant, IT Auditor, Reporting Specialist, Manager for Retail and Business Banking Reporting and Analytics, and Senior Finance Manager. After their tenure at Absa Group, Akhona worked as a Finance Business Partner at Hollard Insurance. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Finance Projects at Centriq Insurance.

Akhona Ngquba CA(SA) completed a B.Com Accounting degree at the University of Johannesburg from 2005 to 2008. In 2010, they pursued further education and obtained a B.Compt (Hons) Accounting with CTA degree from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Recently, in 2020, Akhona undertook a short course in Web Design at the University of Cape Town, focusing on Information Technology.
