Iñigo Garbayo is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials science and renewable energy, currently serving as the Manager of the Hydrogen Area at the Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER) since October 2021. Previously, Iñigo held positions at CIC energiGUNE as an Associate Researcher and Postdoctoral Research Scientist, focusing on Li-S research, and at IREC - Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya, where Iñigo contributed to the development of thin film materials for low-temperature energy devices. Iñigo's academic journey includes postdoctoral research at ETH Zurich, evaluation of power-to-gas systems at IREC, and a PhD in Nanoscience from Universitat de Barcelona, complemented by advanced degrees in Nanoscience and Chemistry from the same institution and University of Navarra.

The National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) is a technology centre, specialised in applied research and in the development and promotion of renewable energies. It has excellent qualifications and recognised national and international prestige.
