U. Gary Charlwood is a prominent entrepreneur and business leader with a distinguished career spanning several decades. As the founder and Executive Chairman of Century 21 Canada Limited Partnership since 1974, Charlwood played a pivotal role in introducing the CENTURY 21® Brand to Canada and expanding its presence nationwide. In 1980, Charlwood also founded Uniglobe Travel International Limited Partnership, serving as Chairman & CEO, leading the organization to become a top international travel management system with a global footprint across more than 60 countries. Additionally, Charlwood established the Charlwood Pacific Group in 1972, a privately held company recognized for building successful franchise organizations. Charlwood's significant contributions to the franchise industry were further demonstrated during a tenure as Chairman of the International Franchise Association from March 1998 to March 1999 and as a board member from 1988 to 2001. Charlwood holds a degree in Economics and German Literature from the University of Southampton.
