Dayan Neves, MBA, has extensive experience in the aluminum and materials engineering industries, currently serving as the Director of Operations at Century Aluminum's Hawesville Plant since November 2013. Responsibilities include overseeing a 250,000 MT/yr aluminum smelter with 450 employees, managing safety, environmental standards, operations, and KPIs. Previously held positions include Director of Technology for North America Operations and Corporate Technical Manager at Century Aluminum, focusing on process management and strategic raw material supplier development. Prior industry experience includes roles at Dow Corning, ALCOA, and Votorantim, with a strong emphasis on raw material quality, breakthrough technologies, and process engineering. Dayan Neves holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy and Material Sciences Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
