Corey Collins has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Corey started their career in 1992 as a Roaging & Detassiling worker at Arver Farms. From 1995 to 2000, Corey worked as a Summer Associate at the Branch County Road Commission. Corey then worked as a Bartender at Coldwater Country Club from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, Corey joined Famous Footwear as an Assistant Manager and later joined Coach as an Associate Manager from 2003 to 2004. Corey's longest tenure was at Century Bank and Trust, where they held multiple roles from 2004 to 2017, starting as a Manager of Deposit Sales and Service, then moving on to become a Deposit Officer, AVP & Deposit Officer, and finally an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer.

Corey Collins attended Glen Oaks from 2000 to 2002, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during that time. Corey later acquired additional certifications, including Commercial Lending School from the Michigan Bankers Association in November 2017, Dale Carnegie – Leadership Training for Managers in October 2008, and the Robert M Perry School of Banking from Central Michigan University in May 2008.
