Scott Hanna has a Master of Natural Resources Management from Simon Fraser University, a B.Sc. in Biology (Ecology) from the University of Victoria, certification from the CEnvP Certified Environmental Practitioner Program in Certified Environmental Practitioner (Impact Assessment) - CEnvP (IA Specialist), certification from the CEnvP Certified Environmental Practitioner Program in Certified Environmental Practitioner - CEnvP, certification from the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) in Fellow of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, certification from the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists in Professional Biologist (PBiol), certification from ECO Canada in Environmental Professional, and certification from the College of Applied Biology in Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio).
