Gerry Perkel

Gerry Perkel began their career in 1978 as a Senior Sales Specialist at Forth Inc. In 1980, they joined Tektronix, Inc. as a Field Sales Representative, eventually working their way up to President of the Color Printer Division. During their time in this role, they led a talented group of professionals that grew revenues from $430M to $850M in four years and increased EBITDA consistently with revenues. Gerry also led the sale of the Color Printer Division to Xerox for $950M in cash. In 2001, they became President and CEO of Merant, a publicly traded software company, and led a significant turnaround. In 2005, they joined Planar Systems as President & CEO, where they led a strong team that created significant growth and value in the Digital Signage business. In 2016, they founded PERKEL CONSULTING LLC, where they worked as a Consultant and Coach. In 2017, they joined DrumWave as an Advisory Board Member and President and CEO. In 2019, they became a Partner at CEO Coaching International. Finally, in 2021, they joined Petzey as an Advisory Board Member.

Gerry Perkel attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 1973 to 1978 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
