Dimitris Kontos

Dimitris Kontos has a diverse work experience in the field of financial services and technology. Dimitris started their career as a Software Engineer at Mellon Technologies in 2001, where they worked on Altitude CTI customization and development. Dimitris then joined Piraeus Direct Services in 2002 and held roles as a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Supervisor at the Software Development Department. In these roles, they were responsible for the design and development of CRM applications, IVR scripts, intranet sites, and file processing applications for Piraeus Bank.

In 2012, Dimitris joined Qualco and served as the Development Lead of the Product Banking Development Team and later as the Solution Architect of the Product Development Department. Dimitris was in charge of designing, implementing, and deploying banking products and solutions. Dimitris also played a key role in managing the software development lifecycle and mentoring junior software engineers.

After several years at Qualco, Dimitris joined EY in 2015 as an Advisory Services Manager. Dimitris managed teams and worked on medium and large-scale projects in the banking sector. Their responsibilities included proposal and contract preparation, gathering business specifications, selecting project teams, and analyzing and implementing customer solutions.

In 2018, Dimitris moved to Accenture Greece as a Technology Manager. Dimitris led teams and managed various IT projects in the banking sector. Dimitris also served as a technology account lead focused on a specific client, maintaining strong customer relationships.

Dimitris currently works at Cepal Hellas Financial Services S.A., where they hold the position of Head of Information Technology Solutions Department. Dimitris joined the company in 2019 as the Deputy CIO and is responsible for overseeing the technology solutions department.

Dimitris Kontos holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Elliniko Anoikto Panepistimio, which was completed in 2013. Dimitris also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business, which was completed in 2004.
