Alok Goel

Alok Goel serves as Senior IP Counsel at Cepheid since August 2020, where responsibilities include leading trademark strategy, managing patent portfolios, negotiating transactional agreements, and advising on IP issues related to marketing. Prior experience includes a role as Senior IP Counsel at The Clorox Company, overseeing IP for multiple business units and managing worldwide patent prosecution. Alok also worked as an Intellectual Property Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, focusing on patent strategy for biotech clients, and held positions at Affymetrix as a Contract IP Attorney and at Incyte and Bio-Rad Laboratories in research and quality control. Alok holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.
