Braxton Dunstone has extensive experience in engineering and product development, primarily in the biomedical and diagnostic fields. Currently serving as Manager of Component Engineering at Cepheid since January 2019, Braxton focuses on improving designs of high-volume injection molded components for molecular diagnostic tests. Prior roles include Senior R&D Engineer at Protein Fluidics, where Braxton specialized in the design and testing of microfluidic chips, and Biomedical Engineer at Cytovale, where responsibilities encompassed mechanical design and improving manufacturing methods. Additional experience includes mechanical engineering at Levitate Technologies, research internships at Organovo and Volcano Corporation, and a solid educational background with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego, alongside a certificate in Plastics Technology and Engineering from the American Injection Molding Institute.
