Michael Chen

Michael Chen has a diverse background in bioengineering and holds a PhD, MS, and BS in the field. Michael has held various technical and managerial roles at companies like Cepheid, Verily Life Sciences, Theranos, and Quantapore Inc. Currently, Michael serves as the VP of Technology and Innovation at Cepheid, overseeing early stage engineering research in molecular diagnostics. Prior to this, Michael was a Senior Director at Cepheid, a Technical Lead and Manager at Verily Life Sciences, and a Team Lead at Theranos. During their time at Stanford University, Michael worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Dept. of Electrical Engineering.
