Tim Phillips

Tim Phillips is a seasoned podcast producer and host, currently spearheading podcast development at Talk Normal Productions since April 2024. In addition, Tim hosts webinars for The Register, focusing on diverse aspects of the technology sector, and oversees VoxTalks Economics and VoxDev Development Economics podcasts for the Centre for Economic Policy Research and VoxDev, respectively. A freelance journalist, editor, and author since April 1990, Tim has contributed to notable publications including the Wall Street Journal and the Guardian. Tim's educational background includes an MSc in Economic Policy from UCL, a Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck, and a BSc in Mathematics from The University of Manchester.
