Joel Obuge

Joel Obuge has a strong background in UX design, with experience in leading design teams and setting design strategies. Joel currently works as a Lead UX Designer at CEPRES, where they are responsible for guiding the overall design direction and collaborating with stakeholders and product teams. Previously, Joel worked at Sahara Group as a Product & Digital Designer, where they collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop interaction designs for applications and tools. Joel also has experience as a Visual/Product Designer at PayPorte.

Joel Obuge's education history is as follows:

From 2009 to 2014, Joel attended the University of Benin, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc) in Geography & Regional Planning with Second Class - Upper Division honors.

In 2019, Joel enrolled in the University of the Arts London and completed a Certificate program in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management.

Between 2020 and 2021, Joel pursued a Certificate in Information Technology from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

In 2023, Joel attended LABASAD - Barcelona School of Arts and Design, where they earned a Master's degree in UI/UX Design.

Additionally, Joel has obtained several certifications. In September 2020, they became an Associate Member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. In March 2021, they received a British Computer Society (BCS) IT Certified certification from BCS | The Chartered Institute for IT. In July 2021, Joel obtained Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services. Lastly, in February 2023, they completed a Google UX Design Certificate program offered by Coursera.
