Juan Miguel Simarro García

Juan Miguel Simarro García has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Juan Miguel started their career as a Commercial Banking Officer at Unicaja Banco from 1998 to 2000. Juan Miguel then joined CEPSA, where they held various positions including Senior Financial Controller at the Huelva Refinery, Head of Accountancy and Management Control, and CFO & CPO of E&P Cepsa Peru. Juan Miguel also served as CFO of Gas & Power & Renewables and CFO of E&P LatAm at CEPSA. Simarro García has also been involved in academia, working as a Lecturer at the Universidad Internacional de Andalucia from 2010 to 2014 and at the Universidad de Huelva from 2002 to 2013, where they taught a wide range of subjects including Applied Economics and Strategic Planning.

Juan Miguel Simarro García has an extensive education history. Juan Miguel is currently a PhD Candidate in Economics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a program they started in 2022 and is expected to complete in 2027. Prior to this, in 2019 and 2020, they attended Esade where they completed an Advanced Management Program.

In terms of business-related studies, Juan Miguel attended the London Business School in 2013, where they participated in a program focused on Mergers and Acquisitions. Before that, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued the PDG in Company degree at the IE Business School, specializing in Business Administration.

In the earlier years of their education, Juan Miguel received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics & Sociology from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. from 1998 to 2003. During this time, they also participated in a Doctoral Programme Studies in Economy and Business Administration at the Universidad de Huelva from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a focus on Economics & Business Administration from the same institution, Universidad de Huelva, from 1992 to 1997.

Lastly, in 2007 and 2008, Juan Miguel pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the Formación Cámara de Comercio de Madrid.
