Scott Vanderaa

Scott VanDerAa, PE, PTOE, currently serves as a Senior Project Manager at CERA Solutions since December 2021. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Senior Transportation Engineer at Primera Engineers from July 2014 to November 2021. Scott's extensive experience includes serving as Division Head of the Transportation and Planning Bureau, Traffic Engineering and Operations at the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways from June 2001 to December 2013, as well as Assistant Division Head and Project Engineer in the Design Bureau focusing on pavement geometrics from 1984 to 2001. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, following initial studies at Purdue University Northwest.
