Mani Gopal

Mani Gopal has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Mani is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Cerapedics Inc., where they oversee R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Quality. Prior to this, they worked at Convatec as the President & Chief Operating Officer for Global Ostomy Care, where they successfully transformed the business unit. At CooperVision, they held the position of Vice President for Global Key Accounts and Commercial Strategy. Mani also had a significant tenure at Abbott, where they served as the Vice President and General Manager for the Consumer Eye-Care Business Unit, overseeing a global business and managing a large team. Mani also held the roles of General Manager for Government, Hospital, and Long Term Care, Senior Director of Business Development and Intellectual Property, and Director of Marketing Strategy at Abbott. Before their time at Abbott, Mani worked as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company and as a Staff Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mani Gopal completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in Varanasi from 1987 to 1991. They then pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Science from 1991 to 1997.
