Gaynor Yong has extensive work experience in various research and project management roles.
From July 2022, Gaynor has been working as a Clinical Trial Project Manager at Cerba Research. In this role, they are responsible for managing all aspects of clinical trial projects, including scope management, project set-up and delivery, operational management, change management, and budget management.
Prior to joining Cerba Research, Gaynor worked at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from August 2014 to January 2022. During this time, they held the position of Senior Manager from October 2018 to January 2022. In this role, they provided research administration support for NUS's Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation (SynCTI) program. Gaynor'sresponsibilities included grant management, manpower planning, research collaboration agreements, progress reports, and KPI tracking. Gaynor also collaborated with various cross-functional teams and external parties to ensure the successful implementation of the research program.
Before their role as Senior Manager, Gaynor served as a Manager at NUS from August 2014 to January 2018. In this capacity, they oversaw the day-to-day operations of NUS's joint research collaboration with ASTAR's Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS). Gaynor managed a research budget of over $85 million and supervised a team of over 120 research and administrative personnel.
Prior to their work at NUS, Gaynor was a Manager at the National University Health System (NUHS) from July 2013 to August 2014. In this role, they supported the leadership in developing and implementing research strategies, programs, and policies to drive clinical and translational research within NUHS.
Gaynor's career in research began at Dandrit Corporation Pte Ltd from July 2007 to May 2009, where they served as a Clinical Research Officer. Gaynor coordinated Dandrit's clinical trial program in collaboration with the National Cancer Centre of Singapore (NCCS) and provided administrative support for the trials.
Before that, Gaynor worked as a Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore from May 2006 to May 2007. Gaynor conducted basic science research on environmental microbiology projects and provided support to PhD Fellows with their research projects.
Gaynor's early career experience includes working as a Microbiology Officer at the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry & Primary Resources from November 2003 to March 2006. In this role, they were responsible for quality assurance, microbiology testing, and compliance activities.
Overall, Gaynor Yong has demonstrated a strong background in research administration, project management, and coordination of clinical trials throughout their career.
Gaynor Yong has a diverse education history. From 2013 to 2015, they attended the University of Nottingham and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Merit. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. Gaynor completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Life Sciences from the same institution, covering the period of 1998 to 2000.
In addition to their formal education, Gaynor Yong has also obtained certifications in coaching. In April 2021, they became a Certified Professional Transformational Coach through Coach Masters Academy Global. In May 2020, they acquired the certification of Certified Transformational Coach from Coach Masters Academy.
