Tim Ferguson has a diverse range of work experience. In 2015, they worked as a writer for Syracuse University, contributing articles on various topics including athletics, politics, and social issues. Tim also worked as a contributing writer for Scout.com, covering Syracuse University football and basketball. Additionally, they were a writer for Orange Pulp/Orange GameDay Live, where they also served as on-air talent and production writer for segments related to Syracuse University sports. In 2016, Tim had an internship at The Florida Times-Union, focusing on coverage of the New Hampshire Presidential Primary. Tim also interned with the NCAA, assisting in various aspects of media relations for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. Tim's experience also includes being a student writer for LivableCNY and an editor in chief for FAN F1RST, a mobile magazine for female sports fans. Tim is currently the Director of Special Projects & Online Learning at the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State.

Tim Ferguson's education history begins in 1999 when they attended Clinton Central High School and obtained their New York State Regents Diploma. From 2001 to 2003, they attended Ithaca College, where they pursued a field of study in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management for two years. Following this, from 2003 to 2005, they enrolled at the University at Albany, SUNY, and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Moving forward, Tim pursued a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at the same university, graduating in 2006. In 2012, they attended the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, focusing on Educational Leadership and Administration, General, earning a Master's Certificate in 2013. Most recently, from 2015 to 2016, they pursued a Master's Degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
