Melina Obando Salas

Melina Obando Salas is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product and user interface design. Currently serving as a Senior Product Designer at Cerebral since June 2022, Melina focuses on enhancing user interactions within the User Retention Team through collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, and Stakeholders. In parallel, Melina also holds the position of Senior Mobile UI Designer at EQUALS TRUE. Prior to these roles, Melina was the Design Lead at Akurey, where leadership of a team of seven designers was crucial in supporting the Products and Marketing Departments. Additionally, Melina's foundational experience includes roles as a Founding Designer at Akurey, a 2D Animation Professor at Universidad Creativa, a Digital Animator at Fair Play Labs, and a Multimedia Designer at Estudio Flex. Melina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Animation from Universidad LCI Veritas, complemented by earlier education at Tecnológico de Costa Rica.
