Mathias Jacquelin

Mathias Jacquelin is a technical expert currently serving as MTS within the Kernel team at Cerebras Systems since November 2019. Previously, Mathias worked as a Research Scientist at Berkeley Lab from April 2013 to November 2019, focusing on the scalability of sparse solvers for scientific computing. Prior to that, Mathias held postdoctoral positions at Berkeley Lab and INRIA, where research centered on memory-aware algorithms and communication-avoiding techniques in dense algebra. Mathias completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at École normale supérieure de Lyon, where the dissertation addressed hierarchical memory architectures, following a Master's degree from INSA Lyon. Early career experiences include internships at IBM France and Dassault Aviation, focusing on GPU programming and terrain engine development.
