Sicong Zhuang

Sicong Zhuang is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Cerebras Systems since March 2022, focusing on numerical and performance validation of kernels for GPT3-like LLM models, as well as debugging kernel-triggered hardware stalls. Previously, Sicong served as a Member of Technical Staff at Esperanto Technologies, where responsibilities included working on the ML compiler backend for a massively-parallel ML inference engine and contributing to system software development. A former Postdoctoral Researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Sicong optimized BLAS level-3 routines and has a background as a Blockchain Researcher at Cypherium, a Visiting Researcher at IBM, and an academic researcher during studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Architecture, respectively, and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Tasmania.
