Saman Hagh Gooie has a strong background in biomedical engineering and product development. Saman started their career as a Scientific Investigator and Lead Research Officer at Neural Diagnostics Ltd., where they contributed to the development and evaluation of a novel technology for diagnosing mental disorders. Saman then worked at Monash University as a Biomedical Research Engineer, focusing on the development of a cortical prosthesis called the Gennaris bionic vision system. In this role, they managed risks associated with the medical implant and designed test protocols.

Saman later joined Blackrock Microsystems as a Sales Support Engineer, where they provided technical support to customers in the EMEA and Asian regions.
