Hendrik Zender

Hendrik Zender has extensive experience in research and development within the fields of computational linguistics and natural language processing. Currently serving as Principal Research Scientist at Cerence Inc. since October 2019, Zender previously held positions at Nuance Communications, including Principal Dialog Research Engineer and Senior NLP Research Engineer from August 2012 to September 2019. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), where Zender contributed to the EU-funded research projects CogX and NIFTi, along with postdoctoral research and doctoral research roles within these projects. Notable educational qualifications include a Dr. phil. and Diplom in Computational Linguistics from Universität des Saarlandes, complemented by a research visit to the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
