Andrew G. West

Andrew G. West has a diverse work experience with a focus on research and data analysis. Andrew G. started their career as a GIS programmer and technical assistant at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection in 2005. In 2006, they worked as a database programmer and engineer at Alsos Digital Library. From 2007 to 2013, Andrew served as a PhD researcher, TA, and technical writing consultant at the University of Pennsylvania, where they specialized in leveraging machine learning and behavioral modeling for anti-abuse analysis and detection in Web 2.0. Since 2013, Andrew has been working at Verisign as a Principal Research Scientist in the Strategy & Analytics group, applying deep learning, machine learning, and forecasting techniques to improve the company's domain name business and marketing efforts.
