Carlo Farina, CAIA, has over two decades of experience in finance and investment analysis, currently serving as the Head of Real Estate and Private Markets at CERN since January 2013. In this role, Carlo oversees the analysis and performance monitoring of investment opportunities and external funds for the Pension Fund. Previous positions include Finance Officer at UNICEF, Credit Risk Analyst at HSBC Private Bank, and Risk Manager at Valinger, among others. Carlo's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance, as well as multiple certifications in risk management and financial markets from prestigious institutions. Carlo has also contributed to the field through research and publication, notably on the economic mitigation of HIV/AIDS through microfinance strategies.
