Eric A. Moreno is an accomplished researcher currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on neural network architectures and machine learning applications for high-energy physics experiments, including the Compact Muon Solenoid at the Large Hadron Collider and gravitational-wave detection algorithms for LIGO. In addition to this role, Eric is a Student Researcher at CERN, working on Spiking Neural Networks in collaboration with Intel AI. Previous experiences include positions at Caltech as a Research Assistant and Taylor W. Lawrence SURF Fellow on the CMS Experiment, a Research Assistant at LIGO, and IT roles at Senspex, Inc. and prior research roles at the University of New Mexico and Sandia National Laboratories. Eric A. Moreno is pursuing a PhD in Physics and Artificial Intelligence at MIT, having earned a BS in Physics from Caltech.
