Maria Fiascaris is an accomplished physicist and learning development leader with extensive experience in high-energy physics and human resources. Currently serving as Deputy Group Leader in Learning and Development at CERN since October 2014, Maria coordinates HR reporting and analytics, overseeing high-quality learning programs that enhance the technical competencies of CERN personnel. Prior roles include Learning and Development Specialist and Research Fellow in Accelerator Physics at CERN, as well as Research Physicist at The University of Chicago, where achievements included data analysis for the ATLAS experiment and team coordination. Maria's educational background includes a DPhil in Particle Physics from the University of Oxford and an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London.
