Matías Bonaventura

Matías Bonaventura is a highly experienced computing engineer currently serving as a Staff Computing Engineer at CERN since October 2019, where responsibilities include managing and evolving a sophisticated heterogeneous computing infrastructure for the ATLAS Data-Acquisition team. Matías has a strong background in software development and research, having previously worked as a Senior Fellow Software Developer at CERN and as a Doctoral (PhD) student focused on simulation tools for data networks. Education includes a PhD in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the University of Buenos Aires and postdoctoral work in Hybrid Network simulation. Prior industry experience includes roles at Microsoft Corporation, Southworks, and various educational institutions, showcasing a solid foundation in software development and application implementation across different technologies.
