Rodrigo Ferreira

Rodrigo Ferreira is an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer currently serving as a Staff member at CERN since February 2013, specializing in interlocks, controls, and monitoring within the TE/VSC Group. Responsibilities include coordinating software development and maintenance activities, defining optimization strategies for control software and hardware, and managing resources effectively. Previously, Rodrigo held the position of Associate Engineer at CERN, focusing on Siemens S7 PLC software development and industrial network configurations. Additional experience includes freelance photography, software engineering for the MEO IPTV system at PT Inovação, and a research role at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto related to multi-robot motion control. Rodrigo holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at Syddansk Universitet.
