Yannis Papaphilippou

Accelerator Physicist

Yannis Papaphilippou possesses extensive experience in the field of accelerator physics, with a notable tenure at CERN from January 2016 to December 2020, where responsibilities included serving as Section Leader, Group Leader for the Accelerators and Beam Physics group, and Accelerator Physicist, as well as earlier experience as a Post-doctoral fellow. Prior roles included Accelerator Physicist at the European Synchrotron (ESRF) from July 2002 to September 2005, Applied Physicist at Brookhaven National Laboratory from January 2000 to March 2002, and Postdoctoral Fellow at INFN in February 1997. Yannis Papaphilippou holds a Doctorat in Non-linear dynamics applied in Astrophysics from Université Paris Diderot (1993-1997), a DEA in Astrophysics and Space Technology from Université Paris Diderot (1992-1993), and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon (1988-1992).
