William "Doc" Worley is a Senior Business Consultant at McDowell Rice Smith & Buchanan and has held the position since 2013. After earning a BS and DVM in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri, Dr. Worley established a veterinary clinic in Lee’s Summit, MO, eventually expanding to six additional clinics over the course of a decade. William(Doc) served as a director and minority owner of Midland Bank from 1968 to 1984 and became the Board Chairman of the Bank of Kansas City. Dr. Worley played a crucial role in founding the Kansas City Business Journal, leading to the creation of American City Business Journals, which went public in 1985. An active civic leader, Dr. Worley has held numerous positions on various boards and was recognized as a White House Fellow in 1999 and a Kansas City Business Legend in 2014.
