Kelly Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Kelly started their career as an Instructional Designer, Trainer, and Employment Counsolor at the Utah Department of Workforce Services from June 2010 to September 2012. Kelly then joined Certiport in December 2012 as a Content Specialist, where they were responsible for developing various Certiporft products, including exams, practice tests, assessments, and courseware. Additionally, they designed Certification assessments for Microsoft Office 2013 Products. Prior to that, they worked at Mesa Public Schools for almost three decades, starting in August 1983 and ending in March 2010. While at Mesa Public Schools, they served as an Instructional Designer, Train the Trainers, English, and Drama public school teacher. In this role, they taught various English and drama classes, coached basketball, announced football games, and served as a sponsor for student government, honor society, and drama club.
Kelly Johnson pursued their education in a chronological order. Kelly first attended Brigham Young University from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Theatre Education. Following that, they enrolled at Northern Arizona University from 1989 to 1993, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Secondary Education. Lastly, in 2010 to 2012, they attended Western Governors University, obtaining a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Instructional Design.
