Jimmy Tong

Jimmy Tong is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience in technology strategy, application development, and team management across various industries. Currently serving as the General Manager and Head of IT at Certis since November 2022, Jimmy drives the IT practice for the Australian organization, focusing on strategy, operations, and team development. Previously, from April 2008 to November 2022, Jimmy held multiple technology leadership roles at MetLife, including Head of Technology, where responsibilities included managing technology strategy and governance, as well as overseeing the successful delivery of critical insurance products and applications. Notable past positions also include Business Consultant at Thrive Re Consulting and Systems Analyst roles at IBM Super Life and Australian Group Insurances Pty Ltd. Jimmy holds an MBA from The University of Sydney Business School and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Applied Finance and Commerce from Macquarie University.
