Katie McGoff

Katie McGoff has a diverse work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Katie is currently the Engineering Team Lead at Certn since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Founder and Chief Technology Officer at METL from September 2020 to May 2022. Katie also held the position of Senior Software Developer at Checkfront from March 2020 to September 2020. Before that, they served as a Senior Web Developer for the Government of British Columbia from May 2018 to March 2020, where they worked on modernizing government systems using Vue. McGoff also co-founded Big Bang Analytics in December 2016 and served as the Chief Technology Officer until May 2019. Katie worked as a Web Developer at Thermo Fisher Scientific from September 2015 to March 2018 after the acquisition of Alfa Aesar, where they previously worked as a Web Developer from September 2013 to March 2018. Additionally, they gained experience as a Senior Developer at Cisco in 2013 and as a Web Developer at BCD and ExcelSystems Software from December 2005 to May 2013.

Katie McGoff obtained a BSc. degree in Computer Science/Software from the University of Victoria between 1999 and 2005. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2018.
