Raphael Woyames

Raphael Woyames has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Raphael most recently worked at Certus as a Senior Director of Finance and Assistant Controller, where they held leadership roles starting in 2020. Prior to that, they were a Director of Corporate Finance at the same company. Before joining Certus, Raphael worked at Deloitte from 2018 to 2020. Their roles there included Audit & Assurance Senior, Audit Senior Assistant, and Audit Assistant. During their time at Deloitte, they executed day-to-day activities of audit engagements, performed various audit procedures, conducted test of controls, and participated in the review of financial statements and reports. Raphael also has experience as a Staff Accountant at Turner (Turner Broadcasting System, Inc), where they were responsible for accurate revenue recognition and prepared monthly journal entries related to contract accruals and billing analysis. Raphael began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University in 2016. Raphael also gained experience as an Audit Intern and later as an Audit Senior at Deloitte. In their role as an Audit Senior, they performed audit and internal control procedures and reviewed financial statements. Additionally, Raphael worked as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte, providing assistance to companies regarding tax burden and participating in tax reviews for mergers and acquisitions. Raphael began their career as an Accounting Intern at Alamo Assessoria Contábil and also worked as a Finance Assistant at Mundivisas - Legalization of foreigners, responsible for cash flow, billing, and board reports. Prior to this, Raphael worked at Tower Hotel as part of the front desk team, and they served as a Private in the Marine Corps of Marinha do Brasil.

Raphael Woyames attended Georgia State University from 2016 to 2017, where they pursued a Master of Professional Accountancy in the field of Accounting. Prior to that, they studied at Universidade Federal Fluminense from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
