Vera Chrebtow has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare and biotech industries. Vera started their career in 1997 as a Research Assistant at Blood Centers of the Pacific, where they optimized PCR-based nucleic acid testing assays for blood transfusion studies and played a role in manuscript preparation.
After that, Chrebtow worked at Varian, Inc. as a HPLC Applications Chemist, conducting experiments and developing procedures for the "Helix" denaturing HPLC system. Vera also served as a Product Manager, managing the automated "Helix" system and providing technical support and training to customers and the sales force.
Chrebtow then moved to Sartorius Stedim Biotech as a Product Manager, where they managed the development and improvement of Palletanks and single-use containers for biopharmaceutical fluids. Vera investigated market and customer needs and led product development activities.
In 2007, Chrebtow joined Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics as a Product Manager, managing the fully automated Procleix Tigris System and providing support for international Transfusion Medicine congresses. Vera later became a Senior Product Manager, overseeing the Procleix Tigris System and Procleix Assays, and developed messaging for key transfusion congresses. Chrebtow then advanced to the role of Associate Director, where they developed an integrated product strategy and launched the Procleix Parvo/HAV Assay in EMEA and the US.
Most recently, Chrebtow worked at Cerus as a Global Marketing and Communications Director, leading critical commercial activities for the INTERCEPT Blood System. Vera developed communications strategies, collaborated with regulatory and scientific affairs teams, and led a global branding initiative.
Throughout their career, Chrebtow has demonstrated expertise in marketing, communications, product management, and strategic planning.
Vera Chrebtow has a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Science from San Francisco State University. Vera pursued further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Marketing from Saint Mary's College of California.
