Tricia Verkuilen

Coordinator - Center for Professional Practice and Growth at CESA 6

Tricia Verkuilen has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Tricia began their career at the Fox Valley Metro Police Department in 1994, where they served as a Police School Liaison and Patrol Officer. In this role, they built positive relationships with students and community members, presented prevention materials, and investigated sensitive crimes involving youth.

In 2001, Tricia joined J.R. Gerritts Middle School as the STAR (Safety Tolerance Alcohol and Other Drug Respect) Coordinator. Tricia reported to the school principal and was responsible for implementing and monitoring violence, discipline, attendance, and drug prevention programs. Tricia also provided violence and drug prevention strategies to students, staff, and the community.

In 2013, Tricia transitioned to School Specialty, Inc. as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Tricia worked in this role for five years, until 2018.

Tricia then joined CESA 6 as the Coordinator for the Center for Professional Practice and Growth in July 2018. In this position, they coordinated professional development programs and supported the growth of educators.

Currently, Tricia is working at CESA 6 - Growth and Development Center as a Specialist, a role they began in July 2019.

Tricia Verkuilen completed their Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design - Web and Interactive Design from Rasmussen University during the period from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, having studied from 2007 to 2009. Tricia also holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, obtained from Fox Valley Technical College, where they studied from 1992 to 1994.
