Cory Barr

Cory Barr is a Senior Software Developer at Cesium since May 2023, with a diverse background in art and technology. As an Artist and Engineer at Anticlockwise Arts since 2012, Cory designs and develops artworks and installations for various public spaces and galleries. Additionally, Cory serves as a Senior Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts, teaching graduate design classes focused on generative design and physical computing since September 2016. In the role of New Media Installation Developer at the Exploratorium since December 2013, Cory contributes expertise in computer science to the development of new media installations. Prior experience includes working as a Unity Engineer at UrsaLeo from August 2020 to April 2023, where Cory created digital twins and visualizations, and as an Instructor at Academy of Art University, teaching programming to visual artists. Earlier in a programmer role at Genentech from January 2010 to January 2013, Cory designed genomic data processing pipelines for cancer research. Cory holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University.
