Luke McKinstry

Luke McKinstry is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in building geospatial web applications and developing automated data management solutions. Currently employed at Cesium since August 2023, Luke previously worked as a software engineer at Azavea, where responsibilities included creating cloud-native architectures and supporting non-profit and government clients. As a database specialist, Luke contributed to the Cicero project, maintaining a geospatial database and developing related applications. Additional roles include course assistant at Drexel University, software engineer at PurposeWorks, application programmer analyst at Communally, and business systems specialist at Tesla. Luke also has a background in policy advocacy through work with the Committee of Seventy. Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Drexel University.
