FPGA Engineer at CesiumAstro

Parker Shiverick began their work experience in 2012 as a Firmware Engineer Intern at Lexmark International, Inc., where they developed a Python script to translate communication logs for faster bug fixing. They then worked as a Verification Engineer Intern at ENSCO Avionics, Inc. in 2012. In 2013, they interned as a Software Engineer at GE Aviation, working on embedded systems software development and being part of the intern leadership committee. From 2014 to 2022, at BAE Systems, they worked as a Hardware Engineer, primarily focusing on FPGA design using VHDL and specializing in RF projects. They also worked as a Software Engineer, customizing Linux startup procedures and working with diskless clients and server interactions. In 2022, they joined Booz Allen Hamilton as an FPGA Engineer, working until 2023. They then transitioned to their current role as an FPGA Engineer at CesiumAstro starting in 2023.

Parker Shiverick's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology. They studied Computer Engineering Technology and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in 2014.

In 2015, Parker pursued further education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Field Programmable Gate Arrays. They completed this program in 2017.

Currently, Parker is in the process of earning a Master's degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. They started this program in 2020 and are expected to finish in 2024.
