Martin Kuba

Martin Kuba has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Martin started their career as a programmer at RADAS s.r.o in 1994 and worked there until 1996. Martin then moved on to INET a.s. where they worked as a software engineer from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, they joined Twelve Horses Ltd. as a Java software engineer until 2002.

In 2002, Martin became an Information Technology Architect at the Institute of Computer Science, Masaryk University where they worked until an unspecified date. Martin also worked as a Lecturer at Masaryk University, Faculty of Informatics starting from 2006.

In 2010, they became a webmaster and IT support member at the European Grid Initiative until 2017. Currently, Martin serves as the Head of the Department of Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure at CESNET, z.s.p.o, starting from March 2021. Martin also concurrently works as a researcher at MetaCentrum from April 2004.

Martin Kuba began their education at the gymnázium tř. kpt. Jaroše from 1986 to 1990, where they studied mathematics. In 2007, they returned to Masaryk University Brno and earned a degree of RNDr. in computer science. From 2005 to 2012, Martin pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at Masaryk University Brno, focusing on Medical Knowledge Sharing Grid, Semantic Grid Services, and Ontologies.
