George Gagalis

Head Of Beach Volleyball at CEV - Confédération Européenne de Volleyball

George Gagalis has extensive work experience in the field of volleyball. George began their career in 2003 as the Venue Support Operations Manager for the ATHENS 2004 Summer Olympic Games Organizing Committee. George then went on to work as the BV Admin Director & Development Manager at the Hellenic Volleyball Federation from 2004 to 2010. In 2006, they served as the Venue Operations Team Leader for the Asian Games. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Beach Volleyball Sport Manager for the Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011. George then moved on to the Hellenic Volleyball Federation, where they held roles as the Marketing Coordinator and Beach Volleyball Coordinator from 2010 to 2013. Their most recent position is with the CEV - Confederation Européenne de Volleyball, where they currently serve as the Head of Beach Volleyball, a role they have held since November 2019.

George Gagalis obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Sports Science from Democritus University of Thrace in Greece. George continued their education at Loughborough University in the UK, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Sports and Recreation Management.
