Sylke Koumans

Sylke Koumans has been working in the field of urbanism since 2011. Sylke began their career as an intern at Research Program Nieuw Landschap, followed by an internship at Urban Synergy. In 2012, they earned their MSc Urbanism from TU Delft and was also an Employee Lecture Committee member. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at AND Automotive Navigation Data, first as a (Junior) Quality Engineer and then as a Project Manager and Geo Team Member. In 2014, they volunteered at De Oranjecamping and traveled South and Central America for 6 months. In 2017, they joined Springer Nature as a Global Program Manager Production and, in 2021, they became the Head of Consulting and Senior Project Manager at Cevinio.

Sylke Koumans has an extensive educational background. Sylke attended o.b.s. jan lighthart from 1993 to 2000, where they completed their basisschool. From 2000 to 2007, they attended S.G. Spieringshoek and completed their VWO. From 2007 to 2010, they attended Delft University of Technology and earned their Bachelor in Architecture. Sylke then returned to Delft University of Technology and earned their Master in Urbanism in 2013. During this time, they also attended the University of Buenos Aires for an exchange course in Urbanism in 2011 and Instituto Picasso for Spanish language level A1.1 and A1.2 in 2012. Sylke later attended Lacunza San Sebastián for Spanish language level A2.1 and A2.2 in 2013. In addition, Sylke Koumans has obtained several certifications from various institutions, including Sandler Foundations (Sales Training) from Sandler in 2022, Learning Program Management from LinkedIn in 2020, XML Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2020, Lean Six Sigma Foundations from Lynda.com in 2018, Learning JIRA Software (2017) from Lynda.com in 2018, Planning and Releasing Software with JIRA from Lynda.com in 2018, Managing Big Data with MySQL from Coursera in 2017, and Certified Project Management Associate IPMA Level D from IPMA Certificering in 2021.
