Mechanical Engineer at Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB)

Dileepa Kulathilake is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the energy and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as an Operations Engineer at the Ceylon Electricity Board since August 2016, Dileepa plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the largest coal power plant in Sri Lanka. Prior to this position, Dileepa worked at MAS Holdings as an Assistant Manager, where responsibilities included maintenance engineering and managing production for a major NIKE supplier. Earlier career stages included roles as a Senior Engineer at Hayleys Aventura, focusing on fire protection systems, and as a Maintenance Engineer at Brandix, the world's first LEED Platinum-rated apparel factory. Dileepa holds an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, and a Master's degree in Energy Technology from the same institution.

It is empowered to generate electrical energy, transmit the same and distribute it to reach all categories of consumers and to collect the revenue. It is also empowered to acquire assets, including human resources following the approved procedures. It is the duty of the CEB to make the optimal use of the resources through the application of pragmatic and time-tested managerial methods.
