Krishantha Hemaratne

Krishantha Hemaratne is a seasoned professional in the electricity and power industry with extensive experience at the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB). Currently serving as the Deputy General Manager since November 2024, Krishantha manages power utility distribution in Northwestern Province, focusing on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Previous roles include Plant Manager at Kelanitissa, Chief Engineer for the Kelanitissa Power Station, and Project Coordinator for environmentally sound management projects with UNIDO. With a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Krishantha has a strong foundation in engineering, project management, and condition-based monitoring, contributing significantly to thermal and hydro power sectors in Sri Lanka.
