Nevil Nishantha

Nevil Nishantha is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience at the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) since September 2004, currently serving as the Chief Engineer for Grid Substation Construction Projects. Responsibilities include overseeing the construction, augmentation, and replacement of equipment in high voltage substations, with a focus on 132/220 kV systems. Nevil has also managed significant projects, including ADB-funded variable shunt reactor installations, and has a background in steam turbine maintenance and operations. Prior experience includes an electrical engineering role in a water treatment plant at Sunpower Construction Pvt Ltd. Nevil holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and is pursuing a Master of Electrical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa.
